Jfffabrics……. Just for Fun Fabrics is just that!  We are crazy about fabric and find it more fun than about anything else we can get our hands on.  And probably, most “real” fabric shops are the results of other peoples’ similar obsessions!  Kindred spirits, we are…..and we can’t get enough of the stuff! ....Sound familiar?

 

The shop is located in picturesque May Branch Square in Fort Smith, Arkansas, a lovely quintessential southern town where gentle people still have and take time to pursue the domestic arts.  There is a large and very active Quilters Guild and a Smockers Guild near.

 

The shop is an explosion of color. There are the most up to date fabrics of designers such as Amy Butler and Kaffe Fassett as well as more traditional quilting fabrics and homespun. There is also a good supply of fine batistes, silks, linens and heirloom fabrics. The supply of books and patterns changes daily.

 

The shop is operated by Kim Smith and her sister Roberta.  Kim manages the shop and will promptly see to any of your needs. She has been in the industry for many years and certainly knows what’s happening. She would love to meet you, in person, on the Internet or at the telephone.

 

Roberta Cardew, the owner of Jfffabrics, divides her time between Fort Smith and a home in Spain from where she has written FROM SPAIN with LOVE, a collection of original patchwork quilt patterns inspired by vibrant Spanish and Mediterranean color.  When at home, a favorite spot is “her” corner of the shop where she visits, sews and is kept company by a little TV which is eternally turned to the Food Network!
