We are sisters, Kim and Roberta, who come from a very seaming background. The shop displays much of the handwork and quilts which were stitched many years ago by our grandmother and her sister, our great aunt. Our daughters: Tonja, Molly and Hallie are called upon to help in the shop from time to time.
Kim has been involved in fabric sales for many years and focuses on our stock and valued customers. She knows what's here on a daily basis and can answer your questions or give advice as a professional. If we do not have what you're looking for, Kim can probably and gladly find it for you.
Roberta attends to the production of infants' and children's garments, the smocking, embroidery and construction. Her husband is English and they resided many years in Britain where she was an exhibiting member of the Smocking Group of the Embroiderers' Guild of the United Kingdom which exhibits at Hampton Court Palace and other venues as the American Museum in Bath.
As in all family operated businesses, our duties overlap and each of us does a little of everything, which is fine so long as we can get our hands on fabric!
Our shop is located in the picturesque May Branch Square in Fort Smith, Arkansas, a lovely quintessential southern town where ladies still peruse domestic arts. There is a large and very active Quilter's Guild and a Smocker's Guild near.
